Patriotic… Much?
Patriotism is love and devotion for your country. Do we say for “Liberty and Justice for all” everyday at school, if Patriotism didn't matter? Soldiers give their life to us and their country to keep us safe and not always under attack by other countries. Just think for a moment, when is the last time you personally thanked a solider for what he or she did for us. They go through so much in a year either in war or here in the United States at the command stations, trying their hardest to keep us safe and sound. Many people die each year trying to protect us from bombings or even terrorists attacks.
Let us begin with us talking about what does it mean to be patriotic? Imagine what it would be like if there were no soldiers in the Middle East protecting us from what they are plotting to do to the U.S. There would be a lot more terrorists’ attacks. We would have them probably flying in each day to bomb the U.S or having them steal from the banks and killing people. Just think of a million innocent lives dying each and every day. The soldiers would do anything to keep their home country safe. That is why we’re in war right now and trying our hardest to take the troops out of Afghanistan. We, as the U.S, are meeting the challenge to stop the war in Afghanistan and stop terrorism worldwide.
Patriotism is the most respect you can give to your country. If you remember 9/11, a terrorist attack led to thousands of people dying in the burning flames of the World Trade Center! The al- Qaeda terrorists hijacked four planes and led them into the Twin Towers and Pentagon, as well as planning to hit the White House. Everyone that helped during that tragic day is considered to be patriotic to their country and to everyone they helped. That day reminds many people of screaming horrifically and screaming like a mad murderous person.
Everyone should show patriotism to their country, not just the army, but everyone! Patriotism can help your country grow.
