Gravity Lab

Problem: Which ball will fall the fastest due to gravity?

Hypothesis : I think that the lightest ball will fall faster due to Newton's law what must come up must go down.

Experiment:

Materials: Golf balls, ping pong balls, basketballs, marbles, bouncy balls, timer , meter stick

Variables

Cv: The timer, and the person who bounces it

Iv: The different balls

DV: Speed

Procedure

1. Gather all materials
2. Label the balls A,B,C,D,and E
3. Drop the ball at hip height
4. Record height and time of the ball
5. Then figure out the speed by using the equation distance/time
6. Repeat steps 3-5 two times
7. Record all data
8. Clean all materials

Observation:

trials 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2 1 2
speed 1.5 2.2 3 1.6 1.8 2.1 1 1.1 4.3 1.2

Conclusion: My conclusion was correct the lightest ball fell faster due to gravity. What I think I could do better would be is that I could make sure had the correct height on all of them when I measured how high they went.
